Under current US regulations, motor carrier (formerly known as "common carrier") trucking services are governed by the individual carrier’s tariff (s) in effect at the time of shipment. These tariffs determine both the cost of shipping, and the applicable rules related to the services provided.
Since current regulations allow each carrier to determine their own rates, and rules of carriage, we believe it is important to evaluate service providers on more than price alone. When you allow us to arrange the transportation, you should feel confidant in that our carriers are chosen for the overall value they offer our customers, and are managed by transportation professionals. We welcome any questions, or comments you might have about our service providers... or yours.
Unless otherwise specified, transportation service estimates you obtain (whether through us, or independently) are based on general business to business freight transportation. As the beneficial owner of the property, any additional services (IE: non-commercial locations, lift gates, etc.) that may be applicable to the delivery are the consignee’s responsibility. Please let us know of any logistical needs you may have that are in addition to basic commercial delivery.
Be sure to carefully inspect your merchandise upon delivery. If any damage is present, it is extremely important to make appropriate notations on the delivery receipt, and to save all packaging materials. If hidden damage is found after delivery, it is imperative that you notify the carrier immediately upon discovery. Rules for freight claims may be subject to many factors, including US Law, the service providers operating authority, the "National Motor Freight Classification" tariff (published by the National Motor Freight Trucking Association), the individual carrier's tariff (s), and the individual circumstances surrounding the loss. If damage occurs, please contact us as soon as possible, so we can help resolve the situation to your satisfaction.
